Free Range Garden Gnomes
June: Tuesdays June 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 10-1pm
July: Tuesdays July 6th, 13th, and 20th from 10-1pm
August: Tuesdays Aug. 10th, 17th and 24th from 10-1pm
- Ages: All ages, children 7 and under must have parent or care-giver (fully) present unless pre-approval for drop-off has been attained.
- What to Bring: sack-lunch, mineral sun-screen, water-bottle, snacks, work gloves(optional)
- Location: All around town. Specific locations to be announced.
- Description: Let your children fulfill a beautiful fantasy this summer as part of the Free Range Garden Gnome program. We will perform various gardening good deeds around the city including tending the community garden down-town, helping out elderly garden-tenders and spreading native wild-flower seeds in various nooks and crannies. Your child will be so proud when she/he sees the flowers popping up to brighten the world.
- Cost: $70 per month for one child, 50% discount for each sibling or drop-in for $30 and 50% discount per sibling, or $180 for all three months and 50% per sibling, or become a monthly member for all three all-age programs at the rate of $180 per month and 50% discount for siblings.

Free Range Beach Explorers
June: Mondays June 14th, 21st and 28th from 10-1pm
July: Mondays July 5th,12th, and 19th from 10-1pm
August: Mondays Aug. 9th , 16th, and 23rd from 10-1pm
- Ages: All ages, children 7 and under must have parent or care-giver (fully) present unless pre approval for drop-off has been attained.
- What to Bring: sack-lunch, mineral sun-screen, water bottle, towel, swim-suite or wading clothes
- Location: Larabee State Park and Clayton Beach
- Description: What beats exploring a beach during the summertime? Join the Free Range kids as we frolic, play, explore, create and joyfully learn about creatures and tides. We will also create outdoor art sculptures such as sand-dollar mosaics in the sand and beach candles. Music on the beach anyone? We will also make a drift-wood xylophone and bang out some tidal-tunes.

Choose Your Own Adventures
June: Wednesdays June 16th, 23rd and 30th from 11-3
July: Wednesdays July 7th, 14th, and 21st from 11-3
August: Wednesdays Aug. 11th, 18th, and 25th from 11-3
- Ages: 9 and up.
- What to Bring: a back pack with a sack-lunch, water-bottle, mineral sun-screen, journal, swim suite and towel inside
- Location: Specific locations to be announced.
- Description: Students work together with Crystal Scheer- founder and facilitator of The Free Range Learning Cooperative to co-create learning adventures. Will we visit Racehorse falls to hunt for fossils and hike the waterfall, hand carve wooden spoons with hot coals from a beach fire while studying tidal forces or visit a nature reserve with binoculars around our necks to study animal habitat and behavior and practice wild-life photography? As a part of this program, students will be exposed to techniques that will help them amplify their senses, develop their bodies and minds and expand their awareness and connection to the natural world.
- Cost: $80 per month for one child, $130 for two or $180 for three, or drop-in for $30 a day for one student and $20 per extra sibling or $220 for all three months for one child, $320 for two children and $420 for three children.

Free Range Outdoor Art

- Description: Let’s pack up our watercolors and head for the hills! Whatcom County is a banquet of artistic inspiration and delight. We will fill our senses with the beauty of the northwest and expressing those inspirational impressions via painting, sketching, nature-journaling and Andy Goldsworthy-style sculpture.

Free Range Overnight Camping Adventures
July 26th-30th : Olympic National Park:
- Ages: 12 and up
- What to Bring: A list will be provided.
- Location: Olympic National Park
- Description: Participants will be picked up in Bellingham and whisked away to enjoy beholding the majesty of one of the most beautiful locations on planet earth. We will travel by the Whidbey Island Ferry to Port Townsend and continue on to the Kalaloch Campground in the Olympic National Park, right on the ocean. We will visit the ancient Hoh Rain Forest, hike the beaches, cook chowders over beach bon-fires, explore tide pools, watch sea otters frolic in the waves and much more. It will be a very memorable summer camp experience.
- Cost: $260 per camper

August 2nd-6th Lopez Island Camping Adventure:
- Ages: 12 and up
- What to Bring: A list will be provided
- Location: Lopez Island
- Description: Participants will be picked up in Bellingham and whisked away to enjoy hiking, beach bon-fires, exploring, island-hopping, nature crafts, creating skits, singing songs and much more.
- Cost: $250 per camper
