Both of my children (agest 7 and 14) have changed how they see the world around them through their time with the Free Range School. The lush greenery in their own neighborhood now speaks to them more vividly. They learned details about how plants and animals fit into the complex web of life and they learned that each one comes around to touch them personally. They tasted cattails and made medicine wheels. They got muddy and learned to thank Mother Earth for her gifts. I’ve never had to cajole either one of them to attend an event because, I think, the time spent at the Free Range School speaks their language. The resulting enjoyment just seems to blossom naturally as nature begins to unfold its amazing secrets before their eyes.
